Metro Art Programme

In partnership with Dudley Council, we are project managing Art Track: Metro Art Programme

This one-year pilot project will create an expanded programme of designs for public art commissions and public engagement activities for the new Wednesbury to Brierley Hill Metro extension.

In Summer 2022 artist ideas were showcased in an exhibition titled 'Dudley Futures' at Churchill Shopping Centre, Dudley.

LET'S ALL SING

Community Choir

Let's All Sing is a Community Choir for adults based in Redditch, Worcestershire. A friendly and informal group, Let's All Sing meet weekly on Wednesday's 7.30-9.30pm.

Sessions aim to reduce isolation, improve mental health and wellbeing and instil a lifelong love for singing.

The choir perform at concerts and events throughout the year and also take part in local art projects and campaigns. For example in May 2022 the group performed at The Palace Theatre in Hand in Hand for Ukraine, a revue to fundraise for the humanitarian crisis and in 2021 the choir co-designed two banners as part of the Now We're Talking With Art trail in Redditch. The campaign spread positivity, highlighted mental health support and encouraged people to get out, exercise and support local businesses too.

LET ME TELL YOU

Let Me Tell You is a research project that explores how transmedia storytelling approaches can engage children and young people (aged 5-11 years) with their locality and creative writing/poetry. 

Participants will be using poetry, creative writing and photography to tell stories of themselves and their local area. Their stories will be shared on the Overhear App, showcased in a site specific promenade theatre performance and collective zine.

This project is funded by Arts Connect via the THRIVE Digital Bursary.
